About the Artist:

Charles Bush is a Photographer based from his home in Louisiana.  Charles specializes in
nature and wildlife photography with an emphasis on the vanishing wetlands of Southern
Louisiana. The subjects are wild and free and captured in their natural habitat.

A large telephoto lens is used to ensure the subjects are not disturbed and to capture their
normal behavior.  High resolution professional quality digital SLR cameras are used to
capture exceptionally crisp and sharp images.  These images are stored on computer disks
and only the finest are selected for print and for sale.  Those chosen are run through Adobe
photoshop and prepared for print.  Only those things done in a traditional darkroom are done
within photoshop, the final result is an accurate representation of what he experienced when
he made the image to the best of his ability.

Prints are made with an Epson commercial quality printer in the artists studio.  Epson
archival inks and the highest quality cotton rag paper is used to produce the prints.  Archival
matting and framing materials are used to insure a long life for the photograph.

After spending over twenty-five years as an engineer in the information technology industry,
Charles is leveraging his knowledge of computer technology to produce fine images with
digital cameras and scanning traditional film-based images.
